HICKAM FIELD
Hickam Field is home to the 15th Wing (15 WG) and 67 partner units including Headquarters of Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Hawaii Air National Guard, and the HNG 154th Wing (154 WG). The Air Mobility Command's 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing (515 AMOW) provides tactical and strategic airlift within the Pacific region.
Hickam Field has been designated a National Historic Landmark, recognizing its key role in World War II. Bullet holes mark many buildings in use, including World War II era hangars, the base hospital, and the Pacific Air Forces Headquarters building, whose bullet-scarred walls have been carefully preserved as a reminder to never again be caught unprepared.
Hickam merged with the adjacent Naval Station Pearl Harbor as a result of the 2005 Base Closure and Realignment Commission, and currently serves in support of US Pacific Command (USPACOM) as Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.
