Blogs and Printed Books
I've always preferred printed newspapers and books to ebooks and online resources, especially when it comes to reference photographs and have tried to keep something of great FAM tours handy, whether it be a tourist guide or a printed itinerary and contact list. Just having a something physical handy by my desk has helped jog my memory about a particular location or resource that would be the perfect option for something I'm working on.
A friend had self-published a photo book of a recent family vacation that gave me the idea to print photos from FAM tours and I put together images from two recent trips that I determined were the least likely to provide information easily sourced online.
After researching a couple companies that offer photo book services, I decided to give Mixbook a try and have been quite pleased with the results.
I started out with two trips, the recent trip with the USAF Entertainment Office to Alaska, and my sail aboard the USCG Eagle which I incorporated the text of an article I wrote here on LinkedIn comparing the management lessons I learned aboard with that which I have learned in Hollywood.
If you're interested in having copies of these books for themselves, you can order directly from the Mixbook site yourself with the following links (I get no commission from this, just offering what I believe to be useful information to have on hand if interested) :
